UAD 3.6 Operating Playbook: Five Operating Moves for UAD 3.6 Readiness

UAD 3.6 is more than a form update — it’s a shift in standards that changes what gets captured, how reports are reviewed, and how valuation teams maintain consistency. As requirements evolve, so must the way appraisers, AMCs, lenders, and valuation teams operate day to day. The UAD 3.6 Operating Playbook is designed to help you make that shift with clarity and control. Rather than focusing only on compliance, this playbook outlines five practical operating moves you can implement immediately to reduce rework, align expectations, and keep orders moving efficiently.

Inside, you’ll find a clear framework to:

  • Establish a consistent Submit Standard
  • Create a reliable Workflow Rhythm
  • Define a documented Decision Path
  • Strengthen communication through Plain Narratives
  • Systematically Fix the Top causes of rework

Teams that perform best during standards transitions are the ones that stay consistent, minimize revisions, and make decisions quickly. This playbook gives you the structure to do exactly that.

Scheduled Maintenance

As part of our ongoing commitment to security, performance, and reliability, ACI performs scheduled server maintenance on the third Wednesday of each month. This maintenance allows us to apply security updates, implement server enhancements, and ensure our platform continues to meet the highest standards of performance for our users.

Work is performed overnight, starting in the late evening EST, to minimize disruption during normal business hours.

During this window, some services may be intermittently unavailable, including:

  • eServices
  • Flood & Location Map Services
  • Desktop Registration

Service will be restored as soon as maintenance is complete. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

How to Fix a ‘Request Timed Out’ Error

This error corresponds to:
ERROR_INTERNET_TIMEOUT (12002) – “The request has timed out.”
This error occurs when ACI Report sends a request to one of its servers and doesn’t receive a response in time. Common causes include slow internet, blocked connections, or temporary server outages, such as:
  • Network latency or instability
  • Server unresponsiveness
  • Firewall or proxy interference
  • DNS resolution issues

Quick Fixes to Try First

1. Check Your Internet Connection

Make sure you’re connected to the internet.
Try opening a website like google.com — if it doesn’t load, restart your Wi-Fi or plug in an ethernet cable.

2. Restart the Program

Sometimes a simple restart helps.
Close the program completely, wait a few seconds, and then open it again.
If that doesn’t help, restart your computer.

3. Check Firewall or Antivirus Settings

Your security software might be blocking the connection.

  • Try temporarily turning off your antivirus or firewall to see if that fixes it.

If this does resolve the issue please reach out to support@aciweb.com for the URLs to whitelist.

4. Turn Off VPN or Proxy

If you’re using a VPN or proxy, turn it off and try again.
Sometimes these can slow down or block the connection.
