Setting up ACI on a Network

The ACI suite includes a Database Redirector utility for users wanting to share their Reports, Databases, Picklist, Templates & signatures across a network or shared drive. Please follow the steps below to update your file paths for ACI.

Open Database Redirector utility as an administrator. It can be found either from the Start Menu, under ACI Collection 32, Database Redirector from within File Explorer: C:\Program Files (x86)\ACI32\Applications\ACIDataRedirector

Right-click on the icon and select Run as Administrator

To update a file path check the box next to the ACI folder name and click the Browse button for the folder to update the path. Please note: If you do NOT have that box checked the changes will not hold. After updating the paths click OK to save.

Note: If you are unable to locate your networked location through this utility it may be due to your computer’s permission settings. If you are networked, please make sure you have access to the network drive and that ACI can access it. If not, please run the KBFix special update.

When sharing your Databases make sure that the Root file path is the same as Common, Track, Research, and Flash if applicable.

You will want to verify all file paths before changing the data paths as well.
