Just in time for the holidays we released some great new features and fixes to ACI Sketch™. There are new symbol and label quick keys, custom toolbars, and improved importing including dimension breakdown (a popular request). Enjoy!
Stamp Mode – Freeform Object Placement
New to ACI Sketch, “Stamp Mode” allows you to quickly add Symbols and Labels to your floor plan multiple times. Right Click on the symbol/label you would like to stamp and select Stamp Mode. Then click on the canvas to place the object on your sketch. In addition, we’ve enhanced the sensitivity of object placement on your floor plan, so it’s easier to get something in the right spot the first time around.
Polygon Dimension Breakdown
We enhanced the dimensions import with a complete area breakdown. It now properly populates the Dimensions List in your report and mirrors what’s printed on your floor plan sketch.
Sort and Search
That’s right – you can now alphabetize the Symbols and Labels menu! In the menu, Right Click and select Alphabetize List to quickly find what you’re looking for.
Customize Tool bars
New options allow you to customize the tool bar to better suit your sketch needs. Toggle menu items on/off by selecting the appropriate checkbox, and choose between small and large button display sizes.
Change label orientation in a snap using the new direction tool for all dimension labels. Select an area, then press H on your keyboard to turn all labels horizontal or V to make them vertical.
Additional Labels and Symbol Support
We’ve added a slew of new labels for you to choose from. Right click on a label and select Move Up or Move Down to rearrange the order in which they appear. If you’ve added custom Labels or Symbols, it’s important that you export them prior to running WebUpdate (click here for further instruction).
