ACI just added three exciting new features to our popular Sky Flood™ service. Zooming, LOMA support, and the ability to automatically add a flood map page.
With the handy Zoom option you can quickly drill down to get a closeup of the property, or zoom out to show more of the surrounding neighborhood. The closeup street view gives a helpful perspective of the lot outline along with placement of the structure.
A new layer of intelligence was also added with the inclusion of Letter of Map Amendment (LOMA) data. A LOMA is an official letter of amendment to the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) map that establishes that a property’s location is no longer designated as being in a Special Flood Hazard Area. If you generate a flood map and your subject property has a LOMA, the information will appear in the map details at the bottom of the page.
To enjoy these new features along with the ability to add the flood map page “on the fly,” just run WebUpdate. If you haven’t had a chance to give Sky Flood a try, this would be the perfect time. The 10 free maps are still available by using the password FREEFLOOD.
Generate a Sky Flood map in a matter of seconds. Go to eServices > Flood Maps > Sky Flood and click Accept Map. To set Sky Flood as your default flood map provider go to Options > Environment > Mapping > and select Sky Flood from the drop-down menu.
