What is MISMO?

MISMO publishes data standards in the form of data file formats (XML schemas) and corresponding data definitions.

MISMO provides a common (same) data framework that appraisers and clients can use to communicate appraisals, improving understanding and quality. From this framework, ACI products and services can unlock new opportunities and advancements.

Why MISMO?

MISMO is an open data standards organization that promotes consistency among mortgage transaction participants. It helps in reducing computer processing costs, increases transparency, and ultimately boost investor confidence in mortgages and real estate as asset classes.

MISMO for Appraisal - Uniform Collateral Data Portal (UCDP)

The GSEs (Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac) will require appraisal data to be delivered for the loans that they purchase beginning in 2011.

Originally named the CDD, this initiative is now called the Uniform Collateral Data Portal (UCDP) and is part of the overall Uniform Mortgage Delivery Program (UMDP).
