I currently have Service Pack 5 installed.  I was cleaning up my computer and noticed that Windows XP Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs says that as well as Service Packs 5, I have Service Packs 1 through 4 still installed (called AWC Service Pack).  Combined, they use around 6 GB of space.  Can I uninstall these earlier Service Packs?

Question: Do the older services packs listed on the Add/Remove Programs take up the space listed, and can older ACI service packs be uninstalled from the Add/Remove Programs list without uninstalling the current ACI program.

Answer: No, uninstalling older ACI Service packs will uninstall the main program and is NOT recommended without specific technical assistance from ACI. The size listed is the estimated space used at the time of the Service Pack installation and does not accurately reflect the current disk usage.

Recommendation: Do not remove the ACI service Packs directly from the Add/Remove program list as it will not recover the listed disk space and could cause current ACI programs not to function.
