ACI, a leading innovator in technology for the valuation industry, announced that its corporate parent, ISO Claims Services, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Insurance Services Office, Inc. (“ISO”), has filed a civil action in Federal Court in Jacksonville, Florida against Appraisal.com, Inc. of Buffalo, New York .
The lawsuit alleges, among other things, that Appraisal.com and its Day One division, in violation of ACI’s rights, reverse engineered all or parts of ACI’s proprietary computer programs and computer files and distributed copies of ACI proprietary software without ACI’s consent. ACI seeks unspecified damages and injunctive relief.
