Is there a way to import that great Market Conditions comment I wrote a few weeks ago into a new report?
Yes, it’s simple! All you need to do is place your cursor in the Market Condition field in the new report, then from the toolbar select Edit > Extract > Field (CRTL+G). Then browse for the previous report that includes the comment you wish to extract. It works regardless of the form type and will even automatically flow into the addendum if needed. It’s just that easy.
TIP 1: Extract a Whole Section in a Snap
Right-Click > Extract > Section is particularly handy for extracting Neighborhood details, or PUD project information from one report to another. It works anywhere in the section and will clear out and replace the data with the previous report information. If you try it from the Sale Comparison section, you have the option of importing the full grid, or just one column.
TIP 2: Select Details to Pick and Choose Sections
Extracting Multiple Sections includes a Details button to quickly check or uncheck sections to include. This works well if you had an older report for the same address and want to extract property information, but not comparables or analysis. This functionality is available when you use Clone as well, just double-click on the form name or highlight and select the Details button.
TIP 3: Use File Lister when Extracting
If you can’t remember the file number and want to look up using an address, just switch the Environment Option to use File Lister. Options > Environment > General > Use the file lister to select report files when extracting. Then simply select a View Scheme to switch to find the older report by date, Borrower, Address, etc.
